Why Choose Us?

At Palo Alto Electrolysis, we believe in having the most highly skilled professional electrologists we can find. Our friendly and informative approach to your beauty and satisfaction is our priority.  Our probes are disposable as well as eye covers.  We adhere to the highest standards in sterilization.  Our office is actually sterilized by blue light. This is the same type of sterilization hospitals use to remove staff and other harmful bacteria and viruses.

Electrolysis was developed in the late 1800's, and is now the most precise method of removing unwanted hair permanently.  Electrolysis targets each hair follicle by inserting a probe into the opening of the follicle and using a small current to close off the bottom part of the follicle. By doing this we cut off the blood supply to the hair germ cells and that way a new hair can't grow.  We use gold probes and insulated probes to ensure less skin irritation for our clients.  There are two types of Electrolysis that are used today.  Thermolysis and The Blend.  Thermolysis is a single or (indirect current) that is great for fine hair or peach fuzz.  The Blend is a combination of an indirect and a direct current, and this is best for course hair.  Electrolysis can be done on any type of hair and skin color unlike Laser.  It can take a few seconds per follicle, but it is the most precise type of permanent hair removal.  We use an aftercare treatment to help reduce redness and enable you to go back to work and get on with your day.  We will suggest a specific aftercare treatment plan for each individual client when we see you.  You should avoid chemical peels, harsh creams, sunburns, and heavy foundation for a couple of days after a treatment (mainly on the face).  We have a medicated foundation that comes in several shades that we will give you.  You should not experience large scabs or discoloration after Electrolysis is done.  A slight pink tone to the skin for a few minutes is normal, but should soon subside.

Contact us today for a complimentary consult and to find out how we can make your life easier and happier. One of us will get back to you promptly to answer any questions you may have. All calls are strictly confidential.
